As we all know this year has really been a lot. While we have been updating more frequently on our social media we also needed to post a longer update here on our site to connect all of the dots.
We were home study approved on January 21st 2020. Since then we have been on a list of 50 families that each have a profile being shown to expectant mothers that have chosen to make an adoption plan for their child. Our next step is to wait for the call letting us know that we have been chosen
While we wait, we are continuing our fundraising efforts for the second half of the adoption costs.
So far, we have been able to raise most of the funds necessary for all of the costs/fees. When we get the call the last half of the adoption costs will be due.
We have applied for a number of grants, and so far we have been awarded a $4000 matching grant. This means that they will match anything we raise up to $4000. This will give us a total of $8000 towards the final portion if we are able to raise the full amount.
That’s where you can come in. There are two ways that you can help to contribute.
1. You can contribute to the Lifesong matching grant program offered through Josiah’s Adoption Fund located here(https://mystory.lifesongfororphans.org/stories/called-to-adopt/ ) and it will be matched.
2. You can purchase coffee through our gobena store and they will donate 50% of any purchase to the grant fund and that will be matched.
